a very little bit of Quilting

Today we actually had a little bit of rain and the forecast says thunderstorms for tonight. I hope that's right. But it also says 35°C (95°F) for tomorrow. Aaargh.
I made the first few quilting stitches in the Scrappy Trips quilt. Hmmm...just love that yellow-orange Flea Market Fancy fabric together with the purplish blues next to it. Yum!
By the way, do you remember my cracked quilting hoop and my not very good attempt to fix it?

My dad saw it, took it home and repaired it more professionally. It is as good as new now! Thank you, Daddy! :-)
I'll leave you for the weekend with this beautiful bowl of hydrangeas from my MIL's garden. Aren't those colors gorgeous? (as is the tablecloth that I bought at a flea market once for a few Euros)
Have a nice weekend and try to stay cool. ;-)

Lovely quilt, stitching, tablecloth and flowers! I just noticed you're left-handed - me, too. And I lost my left-handed scissors that my husband (then boyfriend) gave me years ago! :-( If they don't turn up soon, I'll have to buy another pair. And then Murphy's Law: I'll find mine, right? Haha!

I love your scrappy trip blocks ... one of these days I will try one too. I also really like to quilt with pearl cotton or embroidery floss. People keep wanting me to teach them about big stitch quilting and I say "you quilt - with big stitches"!

Your scrappy trips looks great with the quilting in yellow. How clever of your father to be able to fix the hoop and thanks for sharing your lovely flowers and tablecloth.
