Quilts in the Forest

In August we stayed in a cozy little summer house in Denmark.
The house stands on it´s own in a forest near a farm.
The farm and the forest with the summer house belong to Mille, who is also a quilter and leads a quilting group.
Every three years the group organize an outdoor quilt show in the forest, and this year was the third time they did it. Mille invited me to take part and so we planned our vacation around the date of the show.

Early in the morning it all started with the arrival of the quilts.

We hung the ropes for the quilts a few days earlier so we could start to hang the quilts immediately.

The men helped a lot, too.

At the porch of the summer house we had a little café for the visitors.

And here are a few impressions of the show:

I think these are enough pictures for one post, I´ll show you more of this nice day soon!

This looks like such a fun day. My favorite quilt is that very last one with the nine patches as the log cabin centers. That setting is just great, and it makes me want to start cutting fabric strips and sewing one.
