one Flower and one Star II
Again I managed to sew one flower and one more star for my hexie project. This time the star is a bit stronger in color. I don´t want the quilt to become too sweet and pastel, so I think a few darker fabrics here and there are ok. The original 1930s quilt has darker areas, too:
Go and visit the Nebraska History page, if you like. There are a lot of beautiful antique quilts to see!

lovely! I have not done any hexies for way too long now, but I am adding some darker tones to my 1930s reproduction as well. Just gorgeous. They add some pop to it!
Just Wonderful! I like the darker tones you have added. Kim

Absolutely stunning... In the best sort of way. I love, love, love you work!
ohh I found your comments section. I just wanted to say how lovely your hexagon flowers are....I too have an ongoing hexie flower garden which has been growing for a couple of years. It is slowing coming along.
