a little Thought about Scraps

Once upon a time there was a cake on a table. Under the table, on the floor, was a little grain of sugar.
After an hour or two the little grain of sugar was taken away by a vacuum cleaner, because it was dirt.
When in the vacuum cleaner´s bag, among much other dust and dirt, the little grain of sugar was a little sad.
"Nobody would call me dirt", it thought, "if I had been in the cake."

I read this first when I was a teenager, and kept it in mind ever since.
Maybe this is the reason why I can´t throw away only the smallest of scraps?

With all the mini quilts you make I would think almost no scrap would be too small for you.
