a hot Day at a Dutch Quilt Show

We went to Vaassen (Netherlands) to visit the Quilt Show held in the beautiful Castle Cannenburch this weekend.
It was a VERY hot day and we almost melted away, but it was also very interesting.
One big quilt greeted us at the outside of the castle (made from several small units), and there was a little boat decorated with Flying Geese strips on the moat.

Very nice idea!
Unfortunately it was not allowed to take photos inside the castle, but I can show you the outside, the beautiful park and the quilt shop booths.

And I also can show you what I bought:
A new ruler, some Kaffe Fassett / Philip Jacobs goodies, the only reproduction fabrics available, and a few very light pastels for a special project I have in mind.
